Audition Process Overview
Auditioning for a production at the Midway Playhouse is a welcoming, inclusive, and organized experience designed to help you showcase your talents and prepare for a successful show. We strive to ensure a fair and unbiased casting process where everyone has an equal opportunity. Here’s what you can expect from the audition process:​

Rehearsal Attendance
All participants are required to submit a video audition and complete an audition packet. The video audition consists of two parts: a song (approximately 30 seconds, in the style of musical theater) and a monologue. Prepare an accompaniment for your song—no a cappella auditions are accepted. After singing, perform one of the provided monologues from the audition materials. Start your video by introducing yourself with your full name and the audition song you’ve selected, then proceed directly to your performance. Make sure your video is clear, well-lit, and that the audio quality allows your voice to be heard over the accompaniment. Download video submission guide.
Once your video is ready, upload it to a platform like YouTube to create a shareable link, or attach the video directly to your audition email. If your song and monologue are recorded separately, combine them into one video before submitting. Complete the audition packet with detailed personal information, your past theater, vocal, and dance experience, and a thorough review of the conflict calendar to indicate any scheduling conflicts. After submitting your audition materials, check the Midway Playhouse website for callback information and audition results by the specified date. If selected for callbacks, you may be invited to attend additional in-person auditions. Call Backs​​
Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals is expected unless you have noted conflicts in your packet. Dress rehearsals are mandatory for all cast members. Adherence to the provided calendar promotes a respectful and productive rehearsal environment for everyone involved.

The location will be at the Charleston Town Hall 3454 W 3400 S, Heber City.

$250 - All inclusive tuition includes show tuition, digital download of the show, cast poster, cast t-shirt and 2 complimentary tickets for our general admission seats.

$235 - All inclusive tuition for each additional sibling.

$220 - Basic tuition for Aladdin Jr. and cast t-shirt only.​​
